About Kilbarchan Parish Church

Kilbarchan Parish Church was formed from the union of Kilbarchan East Church and Kilbarchan West Parish Church in 2015.  The church can be found just off Steeple Square at the centre of Kilbarchan in what was previously the East Church buildings. 

Our parish consists of the neighbouring Renfrewshire villages of Kilbarchan and Brookfield. Since the dissolution of Lochwinnoch Parish Church in 2020 Lochwinnoch is now included in our parish. On 1st October 2024 we entered into a linkage with Howwood Parish Church. Church services are held every Sunday at 11.15am led by our minister Rev Stephen Smith, or occasionally by our Worship Team. 

Junior Church and Crèche meet in the church hall at 10:45am.  While the smaller children in the crèche remain in the hall, the children from Junior Church join the congregation in the church before returning to the hall to enjoy activities like arts and crafts, singing, drama and bible stories.

The church itself and the adjacent church halls have good access for those who use wheelchairs or those who may find stairs hard going.  Adapted toilet facilities are available in the halls.  The church also has a hearing aid loop system installed so no-one need miss out on any part of the service. 

We are a Christ centred church offering an open, come-as-you-are invitation to join our journey of faith, and an acceptance that we are all on this journey together.  We welcome you, along with your questions and doubts, your strengths and weaknesses to our congregation.  Please take us as you find us; we are, in Jesus Christ, a work in progress.
